Obituary

Brenda Lee White went home to be with Jesus on her 66th birthday on November 19, 2022, surrounded by her family and loved ones. Brenda was born to her parents Norma and Lee Roy Milligan of Guthrie on November 19, 1956. She grew up pestering her brother Buddy, but he admits he could not ask for a better sister. Brenda graduated from Guthrie High School in 1975. She later married Larry Epperson and together they had their son Erick. After parting ways, Brenda met Eugene. She began attending Liberty Baptist Church with Eugene and they later married on August 1, 2011. She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior during their marriage counseling. Eugene blessed her with 2 step-daughters Gina and Angela who she loved deeply. Brenda enjoyed gardening, cooking, working at the church, caring for her house plants, and attending Christian concerts. She loved animals, especially her beloved dog, Zach. She rarely missed an Oklahoma State Cowboys football and basketball game on the television, she was a Pokes fan through and through. She cared deeply for others, having a soft spot for the elderly.  She not only worked as a nursing assistant caring for elderly in nursing homes, she took great pride in caring for her parents, Eugene’s grandparents, and her mother-in-law throughout their final years. Brenda loved chatting on the phone to her brother, friends, and other family. She loved and collected elephants, and was known for sipping on Mountain Dew and Cherry Limeades. Her pride and joy was her grandbabies, she was constantly checking on them, bragging about them, and sharing pictures of them with anyone that would listen. Brenda will be greatly missed, but those that know and love her take great comfort in the promises of our Lord that we will meet again Heaven. Brenda joined her parents, Norma & Lee Roy Milligan; infant brother, Billy; her mother-in-love, Leanna White; her grandparents and other loved ones in heaven. Brenda is survived by her husband, Eugene White; son, Erick Epperson (wife, Marie); step-daughters, Gina Christensen (husband, Mic), and Angela Harris (Husband, Tommy); grandchildren, Jasmine, Kristy, TJ, and Theodore; great granddaughter, Andriana; brother, Buddy Milligan (wife, Sheryl) and her niece and nephews. Brenda’s final resting place for her earthly body will be at Clearview Cemetery in Chandler, Oklahoma. “Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was; and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.” Ecclesiastes 12:7 ~ Brenda’s celebration of life will be held at Liberty Baptist Church, 2807 E Industrial Rd, Guthrie on November 25th at 2pm. Viewing at Community Funeral Home, 1624 N. Pine St. Guthrie, Ok on November 23rd from 10-6pm. Brenda's final earthly body will rest at Clearview Cemetery in Chandler, Oklahoma.
