A Mother’s Crown
By an Unknown Author
Heaven lit up with a mighty presence, as the Angels all looked down. Today the
Lord was placing the jewels into my Mother’s crown. An angel lived among us,
A gift from God above. She showered us with kindness and shared with us her
love. She cherished every moment with the man who was her life; walking hand
in hand together, facing life with all its strife.
She loved her children dearly, each one a different way. Nestled close within her
heart though, now she is far away. She’s gone to live with Jesus but she’s here
with us today. Smiling down on every one of us and telling us she’s O.K.
Our loving mother and grandmother, Buenaventura Pacheco, who was 95 years of age, went to be with
the Lord December 15, 2020. She was born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico on September 5,
1925. Her father's name was Jose A. Tirado and her mother's name was Monserrate Santana. She
lived in New York until she moved with her husband, Gabriel Pacheco to Edmond, Oklahoma where
they both retired.
Ventura enjoyed sewing, cooking, and gardening. She and Gabriel were members of Waterloo
Road Baptist Hispanic Church in Edmond, OK for more than 40 years. She had 7 children, 13
grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She will be greatly
missed by her family and friends.
Ventura is survived by 2 daughter Eva Cordero and Fidelina (Linda) Wilds both living in Guthrie,
and 3 sons, Herman Pacheco from Toms River, NJ, Tony Pacheco from Midwest City, OK, and
Gabriel Pacheco from Oklahoma City, OK.
We thank you for the many wonderful memories that we shared throughout the years. You
have shown us to be strong, honest, funny and to see the good in others. Until we meet again
we love you.
