Charlotte Ethyl Johnson was born December 5, 1932, in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. She was the third of four daughters born to Charles and Elizabeth Johnson. She attended the little one-room schoolhouse in their community, and was valedictorian of her class at Pagosa Springs High School. She graduated from college in Greeley, and taught second grade for three years in Arvada, Colorado.
In 1936, her parents attended the gospel meetings held in the schoolhouse, and made their choice to serve the Lord. A Sunday morning meeting was placed in their home. Their first convention was Hotchkiss in 1938. Charlotte professed in a Special Meeting at home when she was 12 years old. She started in the Work in 1956, laboring in Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska and North Dakota. She had the privilege of going to the Orient for conventions in 1988, returning to Korea in 1995 for Special Meetings there. She also enjoyed attending the Korean War Veterans reunion in 2000. She moved to Redbud Canyon in Guthrie, Oklahoma in 2016.
Preceding her in death are her parents, Charles and Elizabeth Johnson, and sisters Genevieve Olsen Phelps and Elaine Nossaman, brothers-in-law Jim Olsen, Royal Nossaman and Lyman Mundy. Her sister Marilyn Mundy survives her, as well as nieces and nephews, Alice Jelinek, Charles and Jim Olsen, Susan Nossaman and Cindy Spear, Julie Brower, Laurie Klapsia and Bradley Mundy, and their spouses, 11 great-nieces and nephews, 17 great-great nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
