Clyde Edward Lafferty, Sr. was born October 10, 1939. He passed away peacefully at his home Sunday, November 21, 2021, with his wife and several loved ones by his side.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lillian Elizabeth Coyne and John Henry Payton Lafferty, brothers John and Jed Lafferty, daughter, Debbie Washburn, grandchildren, Kyle Lafferty and Krystopher Abrahms.
Clyde was affectionately known as "Ed" by all that knew him. Ed lived life on his own terms and he enjoyed the life he lived to the fullest.
Ed was a veteran of the United States Army.
He was united in marriage to the love of his life, companion and friend in 1980, Valdeana (Katy) Kay Bee. They spent the past 45 years together as a team, embarking on new adventures from owning a painting business, a bingo bus, rental properties, to owning a successful bail bonding business that they've enjoyed operating and expanding the past 15 years.
In his younger days, Ed was an avid hunter and excellent fisherman. He enjoyed working with his hands and many outdoor activities. He also enjoyed watching sports, especially football and basketball.
Ed leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 45 years, Katy Lafferty of Guthrie, his children, Ed Lafferty, Jr., Guthrie, Laura Leigh, Layton, Utah, Chad Boutwell and Debbie, Charles McCormack and Christy, Guthrie, Dedra Knepper and Jonathan, Blackwell, 14 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, a host of other relatives, nieces, nephews, dear friends and numerous acquaintances.
