Laura Marie Cantu was born on April 13, 1978, in Covina, California, to parents, Ron Lauciello and Anne Mae De Suse Lauciello. Surrounded by her family, Laura went home to her heavenly Father November 26, 2022, and ended her courageous battle with cancer.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, her mother and sister Rebecca. Laura is survived by, her husband, Andres, her children, Timothy Sunderland, Allisa Sunderland Seaton and husband, Collin, Mnemosyne Cantu and Drizzt Cantu, her granddaughter, Brylee Jo Seaton, her father, Ron and sister, Denice Rowland.
Laura grew up and graduated high school in Covina, California and went on to get her degree from California Polytechnic State University. She wanted to be a teacher. Due to the lack of jobs in the California school system, Laura sent a resume to a school in Edmond, Oklahoma. Oklahoma was happy to have her and she began her teaching career. Laura was well loved by all the kids that went through her classes. Her love for teaching and her students was evident.
In 2000, one of her many friend's introduced Laura to a gentleman named Andres. They married in 2005 and began happily raising their blended family.
Laura loved sports and was an avid water skier, soccer player and runner. She was always very active and enjoyed dancing and traveling. She had a real zest for life.
Laura was so very well loved and will be missed by many people who's lives she touched with a positive influence.
In her absence, her children promise not to "bring down the house".
