Lillie Ann Jacks, of Crescent, was born March 16, 1934, to Roy Scott and June Drenning. She passed away January 30, 2022.
She married Vernie Leonard Jacks and together they had three children; Dessie, Floyd and Gary.
Lillie was crazy about her three generations of grandchildren. She loved listening to her son, Floyd, play his guitar and sing “Shoeshine Boy” for her and she never missed a chance to call him “you ol’ fart.” She enjoyed sitting outdoors, watching westerns on television and circling her findings in word search puzzles. Her old friend, Bob Cotton was one of her favorite singers and you couldn’t feed her a fried chicken without jalepeno peppers!
Lillie was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters, Willigene Blair, Anita Farralesher, step-mother, Clara, her husband, Vernie, her son, Gary, grandson, Joshua and step-grandson, Joseph Ruhlig.
She is survived by her siblings; Bertha Bernea, Peggie Huerta, and Henry, Buddy and Lonnie Scott, her children; Buck and Dessie Tomlinson, Floyd W. Jacks, Sr. and his wife, Corlis Aldridge, grandchildren; Butch Jacks, Shawn Jacks, Ronnie Jacks, Bill Aldridge, Jackie Wood, Louisa Romanos, Benjamin Jacks, Floyd Wayne (Tre’) Jacks, III, many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and special nephew, Billy Wayne.
She will be dearly missed by all.
