We are deeply sorry for your loss - the staff at Community Funeral Homes at Memory Gardens Cemetery
Our beloved mother, Michele Marie Privett-Brown, age 59, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home, on September 7, 2021.
She battled an unfortunate series of medical problems over the last decade of her life, but she never let it stop her charisma or drive to be the best mom and grandma she could be.
Michele was born on July 30, 1962, in Wyandotte, Michigan, and was proud to be a Riverview Pirate. She was the youngest of seven children, born to Wilburn and Betty (Kirby) Privett.
She is preceded in death by both parents, brother David and sister Sharon and nephew Adam.
She is survived by brothers Will and John (Sue), sisters Carmen (Gary) Jarvis and Nancy (Ben) Hipshire, daughter Brittany and boyfriend Scotty of Crescent, sons, Bryce of Guthrie and Dustin and wife Tara of Yukon, and three grandchildren, Asher, Axton and Amelia, as well as countless nieces and nephews, both biological and unofficially adopted into her family, and lifelong best friends Keith Morris and Karen Sadler.
Michele held many jobs over the years, but her proudest accomplishment was becoming a reporter for the local newspaper. She loved building relationships with those she wrote about, and took great pride in her work. She held an associates degree that she obtained while being a single mother and working multiple jobs, tasks that would help mold her children and their work ethic.
Anyone that knew Michele, better known as Shell, personally would describe her as the life of the party. She loved loud music, especially rock and roll, and could beat just about anyone at a round of Jeopardy. She loved Prince and Michael Jackson, and made sure her grandkids have been exposed to all of the musical greats. She never met a stranger and could talk your ear off.
Loved ones are invited to say their goodbyes to Michele on Friday, September 10, 2021, at 2pm, at the Community Funeral Home in Guthrie, Oklahoma.
